Milan set a deadline for Fonseca to determine whether to dismiss the coach.
After the important matches against Liverpool and Inter, Milan will assess coach Paulo Fonseca’s status, according to reports from Italy. With just two points from their first three games, the Rossoneri’s campaign has gotten off to a terrible start.
They managed to salvage 2-2 draws with victories over Torino and Lazio, as well as a loss on the road against recently promoted Parma. Fonseca was hired by the team following a protracted hiring procedure that involved interviewing multiple coaches in order to replace Stefano Pioli, and there have already been demands for the coach to be fired. Milan extends its time to Fonseca
According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, Milan directors have determined that he is not in danger; however, this could alter in light of the important matches later in the month.
They will play Liverpool in the Champions League at San Siro on September 17, and a few days later, they will play Inter in the Derby della Madonnina in Serie A. Fonseca may therefore run the risk of getting fired just six weeks into the current campaign.
