Former New York Giants head coach and current New England Patriots offensive assistant Ben McAdoo has dismissed reports suggesting he will remain with the Patriots. Speaking candidly about his future, McAdoo made it clear that his time in New England is coming to an end.
“Stories About Me Staying Are NOT True”
In a direct statement, McAdoo rejected any notion that he would continue with the Patriots. “Stories about me staying are NOT true. Me and the club can’t continue together as the Patriots don’t believe in me,” he reportedly said. The statement raises questions about his standing within the organization and the direction the Patriots intend to take after a turbulent 2023 season.
A Short-Lived Tenure in New England
McAdoo, who joined the Patriots in an advisory role in 2023, was brought in to provide offensive insight to a struggling unit. With Bill Belichick departing and the team undergoing a major restructuring under new head coach Jerod Mayo, it seems McAdoo was not in the team’s long-term plans.
