Ben McAdoo Denies Reports of Staying: “Me and the Club Can’t Continue Together”
Former New York Giants head coach and current New England Patriots offensive assistant Ben McAdoo has dismissed reports suggesting he will remain with the Patriots. Speaking candidly about his future, McAdoo made it clear that his time in New England is coming to an end.

“Stories About Me Staying Are NOT True”
In a direct statement, McAdoo rejected any notion that he would continue with the Patriots. “Stories about me staying are NOT true. Me and the club can’t continue together as the Patriots don’t believe in me,” he reportedly said. The statement raises questions about his standing within the organization and the direction the Patriots intend to take after a turbulent 2023 season.
A Short-Lived Tenure in New England
McAdoo, who joined the Patriots in an advisory role in 2023, was brought in to provide offensive insight to a struggling unit. However, New England’s offense failed to make significant strides, and his impact appeared minimal. With Bill Belichick departing and the team undergoing a major restructuring under new head coach Jerod Mayo, it seems McAdoo was not in the team’s long-term plans.
The Patriots have struggled offensively in recent years, and McAdoo’s role did little to change their fortunes. With a new era beginning in Foxborough, it appears Mayo and the organization are seeking a fresh approach on offense, possibly signaling more staff changes ahead.
McAdoo’s next steps remain uncertain, but his experience as an offensive coordinator and head coach could make him a candidate for other coaching opportunities in the NFL. However, his reputation has taken hits in recent years, particularly after his disappointing tenure as the Giants’ head coach.
As the NFL coaching carousel continues to turn, McAdoo’s name may surface in discussions, but for now, one thing is clear: his time with the New England Patriots is over.
