After a development on Wednesday, Rangers may end their contract with Hampden sooner than anticipated.

The Daily Record claims that Rangers may depart from Hampden Park and return to Ibrox one week sooner than anticipated. On August 21, the publication newspaper revealed via their web version that the Gers are “working around the clock” to finish the stadium sooner than anticipated.

Supporters may travel back to Ibrox on September 21 to see the Light Blues play Dundee FC in the Scottish Cup quarterfinal if they receive the go-ahead. This would indicate that the match on Saturday, August 24, at Hampden Park, will be the final one. Rangers will return from Hampden Park to Ibrox. The fans’ experience of having to go to the national stadium from their customary home field has not been happy.

Specifically, the Champions League qualifying match versus Dynamo Kyiv felt almost empty and lacked the Ibrox atmosphere. This was undoubtedly a factor in Philippe Clement’s team being eliminated from Europe’s top competition early on, even though it wasn’t necessarily a deciding factor.

After this time away, fans will undoubtedly welcome an early return home.

Many have viewed the mess at Ibrox as a tangible representation of the mess the Gers’ administration has created for itself in recent months.

It appears that they have somewhat pulled together to welcome back fans earlier than anticipated. While this is encouraging, fans won’t suddenly become ecstatic and supportive of John Bennett and company because there are still a lot of other problems that require immediate attention.
