Tennessee Titans and Amy Adams Strunk Family Donate $500,000 to Support Flood Relief in Texas Hill Country
In response to the devastating floods that recently swept through Kerr County and the Texas Hill Country, the Tennessee Titans and the family of team owner Amy Adams Strunk have pledged $500,000 to aid rescue and recovery efforts in the region.
The generous contribution will be distributed to trusted local organizations and emergency response teams that are actively working to provide critical services, including shelter, food, medical assistance, and long-term rebuilding support to residents impacted by the natural disaster.
The floods, which occurred in late June, followed a period of relentless rainfall that caused rivers and streams in the Hill Country to overflow. Some areas received over a foot of rain in just one day, leading to severe flash flooding, widespread property damage, and tragic loss of life. Entire neighborhoods were submerged, and many residents were forced to evacuate their homes with little notice.
Kerr County was among the hardest-hit areas, with emergency crews conducting numerous water rescues and assessing significant structural damage. As recovery continues, displaced families are now in urgent need of support to begin rebuilding their lives.
Amy Adams Strunk, whose family legacy is firmly rooted in Texas, expressed deep concern for the affected communities. Her father, the late Bud Adams, was the founder of the Houston Oilers, the franchise that eventually became the Tennessee Titans after relocating to Nashville.
Despite the team’s Tennessee identity, the Adams Strunk family has always maintained strong ties to Texas. In a public statement, Strunk shared heartfelt sentiments about the flooding disaster.
“This tragedy hits close to home for our family,” Strunk said. “We care deeply about the people of Kerr County and the entire Texas Hill Country. We hope this donation will bring some comfort and practical help to those who are suffering right now.”
Titans Team Rallies Behind Relief Efforts
The Titans organization is also stepping up to support the cause. In addition to the financial donation, the team is launching efforts to raise awareness and encourage additional contributions from fans and corporate partners. The Titans Foundation is partnering with Texas-based relief groups to ensure resources are delivered quickly and effectively.
Titans head coach Brian Callahan voiced his support, saying, “Football is a family, and right now, our extended family in Texas needs us. We’re proud to stand behind this effort and do whatever we can to help.”
Kerr County officials and local charities welcomed the Titans’ support with gratitude. County Judge Rob Kelly emphasized how vital this assistance is as communities begin to recover.
“This donation is not only generous — it’s essential,” Kelly said. “It will help provide shelter, rebuild homes, and get people back on their feet. We are thankful to the Titans and the Adams Strunk family for standing with us.”
Along with their donation, the Titans and the Adams Strunk family are encouraging others across the nation to get involved. Whether through monetary donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness, every effort counts in helping the region recover from this disaster.
As the Texas Hill Country faces one of the most challenging chapters in its history, the support from the Tennessee Titans serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of compassion, leadership, and unity in times of need.
