HOT PERSUIT: Milan makes aggressive bid to sign The gifted 18-year-old midfielder from Ajax.
Milan and Silvano Vos come to an understanding, and talks with Ajax are now underway.
The gifted 18-year-old midfielder from Ajax, Silvano Vos, is the target of AC Milan’s intensified pursuit. Super-agent Pini Zahavi is representing the player, and the Rossoneri have agreed a principle deal. In keeping with their current transfer strategy, Milan is reportedly ready to offer Vos a long-term contract, maybe a four-year agreement with an option or straight a five-year contract.
Milan’s next move is to work out a deal with Ajax. Vos’ release from the Dutch club is apparently contingent on a payment of between €9 and €10 million. But talks are still continuing on, and all sides are communicating to get to a final agreement as quickly as possible.
Vos is viewed by Milan’s management as a substantial investment in a profile with enormous growth potential. Vos’s first role will be supporting Daniele Bonera’s Milan Futuro, the youth team, but he will also be prepared to play for Paulo Fonseca’s first team when called upon.
The Rossoneri board is attempting to reduce Ajax’s demand. Given his standing as one of the most influential agents in international football, Pini Zahavi’s participation in these discussions is anticipated to be critical. Milan is still awaiting the Dutch team’s response after having already clarified the terms of the deal with Zahavi.
Vos is a talented midfielder who is frequently compared to Clarence Seedorf; if Ajax is willing to grant a discount, Milan is prepared to make the decisive move to acquire Vos’s contract. Vos may become the next addition to Milan’s strategy of investing in potential young talents.
