Following the timely delivery of the last shipment of steel required to finish the postponed refurbishment work in the Copland Road Stand, the Rangers are expected to return to Ibrox by the end of the following month. The “aspirational” timelines were described by Chairman John Bennett in a media appearance with the club last month. Furthermore, the Rangers Review is aware that, barring a major delivery on site, the goal of finishing the modifications by the end of September is expected to be achieved.

So far this season, Philippe Clement’s team has played three games at Hampden after an agreement was reached for Rangers to temporarily move across Glasgow. And for Clement’s team as well as the tens of thousands of season ticket holders who have been compelled to travel to Hampden over the first few weeks of the season, that may be the homecoming match. On Saturday, the Rangers will host Ross County at the national stadium. The final league game before the international break is scheduled on September 1 when the team travels to Celtic for the first Old Firm match of the season.
