SAD NEWS: Chicago bears safety Jonathan Owens may never play again at Soldier Field because the Bears head coach Matt Eberflus does not value him.
Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens is reportedly feeling disillusioned and dejected after his head coach, Matt Eberflus, revealed that he does not see a place for Owens in the team’s long-term plans. The harsh news came as a shock to the young safety, who was told that he may never have the chance to play for the Bears at their home stadium, Soldier Field, again.
Owens, who had been hoping to establish himself as a key member of the Bears’ defense, was reportedly devastated by Eberflus’ comments.
Despite Owens’ hard work and dedication to the team, Eberflus explained that the young safety simply did not have the skills or experience to contribute at the level that the Bears need. The coach reportedly told Owens that he was not fast enough, not strong enough, and did not have the instincts required to be a successful player in the NFL.
“I’m sorry to say it, but you just don’t have what it takes to play for this team,” Eberflus reportedly told Owens in a candid conversation.
Owens, who had always dreamed of playing professional football, was left reeling by Eberflus’ harsh assessment. He had been hoping to carve out a role for himself on the Bears’ defense and was devastated to learn that his efforts had been in vain.
“I poured my heart and soul into this team, only to be told that I’m not good enough,” Owens reportedly told a friend. “It’s hard to believe that all my hard work and dedication was for nothing.”
As Owens comes to terms with the possibility that his NFL career may be over before it ever really began, he is reportedly considering what his next steps might be. Some have suggested that he could pursue a career in coaching, while others have encouraged him to explore opportunities in other industries.
For now, Owens is taking some time to reflect on his experience with the Bears and to figure out what the future holds.
“I’m not sure what’s next for me,” Owens reportedly said. “But I know that I can’t just give up on my dreams.
