SO SAD: “max verstappen deceive me”, verstappen engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, regrets his decision to stay with Red Bull”, calling it the worst decision he’s ever made.
In a stunning turn of events, Max Verstappen’s long-time race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase has expressed deep regret over his decision to stay with Red Bull. Lambiase, who had been with Verstappen since his rookie season, was reportedly disillusioned and upset by what he perceived as deception on the part of the young driver.
Lambiase, known in the F1 world as “GP,” had reportedly been promised a more prominent role within the team, only to find that Verstappen had been working behind the scenes to prevent this from happening.
Lambiase, who had been instrumental in Verstappen’s development and success, felt betrayed by the driver’s actions. He reportedly felt that Verstappen was more interested in protecting his own position within the team than in recognizing and rewarding the hard work of those around him.
“I gave everything I had to help Max succeed, and this is how he repays me?” Lambiase reportedly said to a friend. “It’s hard to believe that someone I thought was a friend could be so selfish and manipulative.”
As news of Lambiase’s unhappiness with Verstappen spread through the F1 paddock, some were quick to speculate that the engineer’s days with Red Bull were numbered. With the team’s focus squarely on supporting Verstappen’s quest for championships, it seemed unlikely that Lambiase would be able to continue working in such a toxic environment.
“GP has been an integral part of Max’s success, but it’s clear that the relationship has soured,” said one F1 insider. “It’s hard to imagine that he’ll be able to stay on with the team much longer.”
Meanwhile, Lambiase is reportedly weighing his options and considering whether to pursue opportunities with other F1 teams. While he may have been deceived by Verstappen, his skills and experience make him a valuable asset to any team looking to strengthen its engineering department.
“GP is a top-tier engineer with a proven track record of success,” said one F1 team manager. “If he decides to move on from Red Bull, there will be no shortage of teams eager to bring him on board.
